Advanced Driver Assistance
Systems have not only proven to be beneficial for improving the driving
experience but has also proven to be beneficial for enhancing the safety of the
car on road. There are lots of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that have
been introduced in cars and other vehicles. Let’s have a look at some of the

Let’s understand the working of blind spot detection system
Bind spots are one of the most
unfortunate, unwanted and the mysterious feature of every vehicle, which end up
giving a vehicle a violent crash with other objects present on the road. Blind
spots are the areas which are far away from the driver’s range of vision but
are there nonetheless. To warn drivers of these hiding spaces Blind Spot
Detection Systems are introduced and this is what we are going to talk about in
this blog. Read More

Which is better- Engine braking or coasting in neutral?
When it comes to descending a
hill or a long narrow slope, there are few techniques that drivers employ. Some
people shift the vehicle into a higher gear and then descend the hill while
others incline towards engine braking in order to maintain a constant speed of
a vehicle. And well, there are those people too who land somewhere between the
two. Let’s find out which is worth the shot.

Deep Cycle Battery vs. Conventional Car Battery
Deep cycle car batteries and
conventional car batteries may both be regarded as the lead-acid car batteries and
the fact that they both rely on the same electrochemical reaction to perform
but the purpose for which they are engineered are somewhat different. How?
Let’s have a look at it in the blog given below. Read More

Crankshaft harmonic balancer reduces engine vibrations
A crankshaft harmonic balancer is
an important engine component that is attached to the front of an engine’s
crankshaft, which is generally built into the crankshaft pulley. The primary
function of a crankshaft harmonic balancer is to alleviate and absorb the
vibrations caused due to the rotation of the crankshaft.

What are the Causes of Antifreeze Leaking?
Antifreeze present in the car’s
cooling system plays a major function in helping car’s engine from burning like
an inferno, in short from overheating. This antifreeze, also known as coolant
is transported from the engine of the car to the radiator, where it is mixed
with the air through the vents in the radiator. The air there helps the coolant
to cool down before it enters the hot and burning engine once more.
This coolant also travels from
the vehicle’s engine all the way to the heater core, where it gets warm so as
to provide warmer air for the passengers during the winter season. An
antifreeze leak can cause the vehicle’s engine to heat up real fast and enough
to cause severe damage to the engine.
The professionals of Jsk Automotive, the acclaimed Hyundai Car Parts dealer have put up few reasons why that
might happen in the first place.
Radiator Hoses: The hoses that are connected to the radiator can be
the potential culprits of antifreeze leakage. With time, radiator hose wears
down, crack and slip. This causes the coolant to leak from in-between the
cracks. So it is only fair to check the length of the hoses for any possible
signs of damage. There can be one more culprit behind this fiasco, and that are
hose clamps, which also deteriorate with time. So don’t forget to take a note
of them too.
Radiator Cap: The radiator cap is situated on the top of the
radiator. It is imperative that the radiator cap should be pressure
tested. This is particularly important
if the engine is overheating and there is a continuous decrease in the level of
the coolant with no signs of external leaks. A loose radiator cap or a blown
head gasket that hold the pressure will allow the engine to heat up pretty fast
and allow coolant to leak to the outside of your engine and onto the ground.
Bad Water Pump: There is one more space from where the coolant can
slip and that is from the water-pump housing. The head gasket and the seals
surrounding it may fail over time, which causes the bearing to fail in the
process, which in turn cause the coolant to leak. This can only be inspected
when the engine is running since the leak occurs when the pump is operating.
